Great Adirondack Chili Cookoff with candidates Kirsten Gillibrand, Tim Merrick and Mayor David Carter with Mayor Roy Akins and Mayor Valerie Keehn
A large crowd gathered at Nora's in Lake George Saturday night for the Great Adirondack Chili Cookoff. Present were all three area Democratic Candidates and all three area Democratic Mayors.
New York State Senate Candidate Tim Merrick started the evening by speaking on key issues of the Northcountry economy and property taxes.

Later Congressional Candidate Kirsten Gillibrand spoke and answered questions and then posed with our three area Democratic mayors. At far right Warren County Conservative Party Chair Doug Auer digs into some of the 15 different chilies.
Representative John Sweeney, R-Clifton Park, finally agreed to a debate-- a paper debate with Theo Gillibrand. Sweeney lost. Decisively.

Many thanks to Nora Nellis, our hostess with the mostess, Pat Dudley for organizing, and everyone who brought chili, muffins, corn bread, deserts, Adirondack Windpower cups and beverages and supplies to make this event possible for so many!
