Washington County Headquarters Opens In Fort Edward
The Washington County Democratic Committee opened its new headquarters at 143 Broadway in historic Fort Edward, NY last Saturday.
At a Gala event lasting from 10am until noon, area Democrats gathered to hear speeches from New York State Senate Candidate Tim Merrick, who came down from Plattsburg for the day, New York State Assembly Candidate, his honor David Carter, the Mayor of Hudson Falls, NY, Granville Assessor Candidate Ed Burkhart, and Kingsbury Town Board Candidate April O'Hearn.
Washington County Democratic Chairwoman Sheila Comar welcomed guests to the Headquarters.
Ken Talkington, Budget Officer for WC Board of Supervisors and the Supervisor of the Town of Hebron, also spoke about the rise of the Democratic Party in Washington County.
