Greater Glens Falls DFA Flash Update: Join in Vigil For the 2,000
Hello Everyone;

2,000 Americans have died in Iraq, along with an unknown number of Iraqis. The identity of the 2,000th service man or woman is not known, but that soldier or marine stands as a representative of all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

DFA is joining with True Majority and Moveon.org to sponsor nationwide vigils in commemoration of all those who have died in Iraq -- the 2,000 Americans and uncounted Iraqis alike.

At DFA's call, we will be holding a quiet, speech free vigil at or around the bandstand in City Park in Downtown Glens Falls, tomorrow, Wednesday, October 26, at 6:30pm. Please come, bring a friend, a candle and a sign of your own making, witnessing for peace. A paper cup to hold the candle to prevent wax drippings is also requested. The vigil will last approximated a half hour to an hour.

We are all upset by the war, but the primary purpose of this vigil is to bear witness for and remember those who have died, to bear witness for peace, and to silently protest war.

To confirm, please go to http://political.moveon.org/event/events/event.html?event_id=6089
and click on that you plan to attend. (we really appreciate confirmations!)

There will also be vigils in downtown Saratoga Springs and in Clifton Park in front of Congressman John Sweeney's office. As we all know, Rep. Sweeney voted for the war.

Thanks Everyone,

See you tomorrow and please RSVP!

Larry Dudley

Comments:
As soon as the troops are out of Iraq, the fighting and killing will stop; the world will then be peaceful again.

And there will be unicorns, and fairies, and spring-time forever!!
